MS. GLORIA DALE WALKER, age 75, of Milan, GA, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at her residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Friday, September 11, at Sand Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Joey Bohannon officiating, with interment in Sand Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Dale was born in Telfair County on January 22, 1951, to the late Nora Matthews Walker and Willie Mac Walker. She was a 1968 graduate of Dodge County High School, and a graduate of Brewton Parker College with her associate degree in education. Dale had a passion for teaching and fulfilled that passion as a paraprofessional at Dodge Pre-K for over 30 years. She had the privilege to work with so many children over the years and will be forever remembered for the love and care she bestowed on to her students. After retiring, she worked for the United State Postal Service in Chauncey for several years.

 Dale was a devout Christian lady who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and enjoyed worshiping with her church family at Sand Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, traveling, her flowers, and spending time with her family, especially her great-niece and nephews, who were like her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dale was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Matthew “Math” Walker.

 She is survived by her Sister – Kay Bowman (Bobby) of Warner Robins; Sister-in-law – Brenda Walker of Milan; Nieces and Nephews – Dean Bowman, Ashley Bowman, Carla Alligood (Anthony), and Eddie Walker; Great-Niece and Nephews – Brady Bowman, Libby Alligood, and Walker Alligood; Numerous cousins and friends.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Carla and Anthony Alligood, 478 Walker Rd., Milan, and will receive friends in Sand Grove Baptist Church from 2:00PM-3:00PM Friday, September 11. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Sand Grove Baptist Church, % Mike and Elaine Watkins, 21 Watkins Lane, Milan, GA 31060, in honor of Dale and her love for her church.
