MRS. MINNIE CANNON “COOKIE” HICKMAN, age 65, of McRae, GA, formerly of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Tuesday, April 2, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Brian Brazzell officiating, with interment in New Union Church Cemetery.

 Cookie was a native of Telfair County, a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, attended Brewton Parker College, and a retired bakery manager at Wal-Mart, Inc. in Hazlehurst for over 16 years. She was a former cook at the Eastman Huddle House for over 15 years, a former assistant manager of Food Lion in Eastman for over 10 years, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed working and providing for her family, going to the beach, listening to music, and reading. She was daughter of the late Bertha Cannon Wells and John A. Wells, widow of Randy Hickman, and was preceded in death by 2 Siblings, Elizabeth Cross and William Redding.

 Survivors: 5 Children – Stephanie Gibson (Chris Hatton), Angel White (Dustin Harrell) both of McRae, Robert Wells (Sherry) of Scotland, Lee Williams (Bryan) of Tennessee, and Ann Hickman of Alma; 13 Grandchildren – Hunter, Chase, Caleb, Jacob, Taylor, Drason, Kaiden, Scott, Dawson, Zack, Arianna, Little Randy, and Asia; Great-Grandson – Wesley; Sister – Sue Newton (Butch) of Woodstock; 4 Brothers – Thomas Wells (Betty) of McRae, Edward Cannon of Douglas, James Redding of Eastman, and Harlen Cannon of Broxton; Sisters-in-Law – Pat Hill and Janet Hickman; Brothers-in-Law – Carl Hickman (Diane), Nickey Hickman (Tracy), and David Hickman (Jennie); Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM Tuesday, April 2.
