MR. JAMES CODY McDANIEL, age 31, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026.


 A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.


 Cody was born in Macon, GA, on October 6, 1994, to Michelle Lynn Smith McDaniel and the late James Butch McDaniel. He was a longtime resident of Eastman, of the Christian Faith, and attended Dodge County High School. He worked several jobs over the years. He was a former employee at Whistlestop Café in Juliette, worked for Billy’s Mobile Glass in Macon, and for the past two years he was a service technician at Little’s Forklift Repair. Cody was a loving father, a caring son, and a beloved brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to car meets, fishing, anything mechanical, especially auto body paint and repair, and spending time and grilling out with family and friends. He was loved and will be forever missed by all who knew him. 


In addition to his father, Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Will and Melba Dean Wright Hammock, and great-grandparents, Johnnie and Mary McDaniel, and Claude and Ruby Wright.


 He is survived by his Children – Silas McDaniel and Sawyer McDaniel; Step-Daughter – Lizzie Spooner; Mother – Michelle Lynn Smith McDaniel of Eastman; Sisters – Brittany McDaniel of Hawkinsville and Jessica McDaniel of Warner Robins; Brothers – Adam Drury of Eastman and Mikey Hammock of Forsyth; First Cousin and Brother – Chase Smith of Eastman; Nephews – Isaiah Harvey and Preston Williams; Aunts and Uncles – Ronnie Smith (Gennie) of Swainsboro, Amy Hammock (Megan) of Macon, Faye Talley (Bill) of Fitzgerald, and Wesley Hammock (Tonya Starley) of Macon; Several cousins including – Destiny Ballard, Claude Trey Brack, Alexis Jones-Goshen, and Morgan Smith-Goshen, Landon Almeida and Cory Gaultney; Several extended family members and numerous friends.
