MR. CLINTON LEWIS, SR., age 91, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, September 4, 2023, at Dodge County Hospital.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, September 7, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Daniel Cook and Rev. Todd Crosby officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Clinton was born and raised in Chauncey, GA, a graduate of Chauncey High School, and later earned his Business Degree from Georgia College in Milledgeville. He was a member and treasurer of Parkerson Baptist Church, later attended Cottondale Baptist Church, and more recently had been attending Eastman First Baptist Church. He worked at John L. Lee Grocery for several years before he was recruited for employment at Robins AFB. During this time, Clinton served faithfully in the Georgia National Guard for several years. He worked as a civil service employee at Robins AFB for over fifty years, where he was the Director of Maintenance and attained the highest civilian level of employment as a SES1. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was a true family man and was a natural born leader. He enjoyed golfing, cutting grass, family vacations to Panama City Beach, watching baseball on tv, and was especially fond of the St. Louis Cardinals. Clinton was the son of the late Lucy Smith Lewis and Theo Lewis and was preceded in death by his Wife, Ruth Waller Lewis, and Step-Daughter, Gwendolyn Jones Gay.

 He is survived by his Wife of 23 years – Debra Hopkins Lewis of Eastman; Sons – Jerry Lewis (Lisa), David Lewis, and Clinton “Dusty” Lewis, Jr., all of Eastman; Step-Daughter – Amy Selph of Virginia Beach, VA; Daughter-in-law – Tonya Lewis of Eastman; 12 Grandchildren – Angie Pruett (Steve), Joey Riner (Tara), Justin Lewis (Brooke), Jordan Lewis, Morgan Lewis, Slae Gay (Caroline), William Buddy Smith, Cody Crocker, Amanda Lewis, Chelsea Mistry (Mitesh), Tom Sheffield (Blarye), and Tyler Sheffield (Nicole); 18 Great-Grandchildren – Jayse Lewis, Judd Lewis, Kaydence Smith, Greyson Smith, Hunter Smith, Aaliyah Lozano, Ryan Lewis, Kaylie Sheffield, Gracie Sheffield, Landon Sheffield, Wilkes Sheffield, Adaline Sheffield, Chandler Riner, Joseph Riner, Rusty Pruett, Jasmine Bailey, Cheyenne Warrell, and Chase Warrell.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Jerry and Lisa Lewis, 1284 McRae Hwy., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Thursday, September 7. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gideons International Bible Fund.
