MR. CLESLIE FRANKLIN WALKER, age 92, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, August 31, 2019 at his residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, September 3, at Grace Baptist Church, with Rev. Chris Dotson and Rev. Lewis Miller officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Mr. Walker was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a 1944 graduate of Eastman High School, a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Germany in General Patton’s 3rd Army, a member of Grace Baptist Church, and co-owner and operator of Walker Shoe Store and 3rd Avenue Dress Shop. He was a former Dodge County Court bailiff and a retired property and supply supervisor for Milan State Prison for over 10 years. He was a dedicated husband, a loving father and grandfather, who was known to his grandchildren as Papa Walker, and he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and making wood gavels. Cleslie was the son of the late Vara Coleman Walker and Henry Marion Walker, Jr. and was preceded in death by a Grandson, Jesse Hilliard and 2 Sisters, Eloise Walker and Emogene Walker Taylor.

 Survivors: Wife of 49 years – Donna Barnett Walker of Eastman; 4 Daughters – Sherri Holland (Bob), Patti Branch (Phillip) both of Eastman, Maurice Faircloth (Billy) of Cochran, and Sarah Hilliard (Mike) of Rhine; Special Son – Joseph Carey Barnett (Robin) of Atlanta; 7 Grandchildren – Rhett Walker (Glynda), Eric Walker (Dana), Clint Pinnell, Craig Pinnell (Leigh), Trey Faircloth (Lisa), Ross Faircloth (Samantha), and Jaye Hilliard Brown (Dylan); 11 Great-Grandchildren – Luke Walker, Georgia Shae Walker, Mary Blaire Pinnell, Will Faircloth, Grace Faircloth, Ruth Faircloth, Alexis Tomberlin, Kadee Walker, Ella Walker, Ezra Faircloth, and Brody Faircloth; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Walker residence, 828 Evergreen Circle, Eastman, and will receive friends in Grace Baptist Church from 1:00PM-2:00PM Tuesday, September 3. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Grace Baptist Church.
