MRS. CLAUDETTE BROWN BEACH, age 69, of Marietta, GA, died, Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.

 Memorial services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Chaplain Wendell Pace officiating, with interment in Yawn Cemetery in Chauncey.

 Mrs. Beach was born in Eastman, GA and lived in Chauncey during her formative years. She moved with her family to Macon in 1954 and attended high school in Gray. After school Claudette worked as a dental assistant for a local dentist and later married and became a homemaker while raising her family. They relocated to Chattanooga, TN in 1976 where they lived for 4 years before moving to Kernersville, NC. During her time in North Carolina, she worked as a bookkeeper for a home improvement warehouse in Greensboro, NC. In September 1988, the family moved to Marietta, GA, where she worked as a Librarian for the Cobb County Library. She enjoyed reading and repairing books and served as a bookkeeper and an archivist. She was affectionately known to her friends and peers as “Lady Bookworm.” She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and was a great cook. She was a member of the Marietta First Church of the Nazarene. Claudette is preceded in death by her father, Claude Brown, stepfather, George Reece and 2 infant siblings.

Survivors: Her Husband of 48 years – Clifford P. Beach, Jr. of Marietta, GA; Mother – Annal Lee Reece of Marietta, GA; 2 Sons – C. Andrew “Andy” Beach (Lisa Weisman) of Portland, OR and Michael “Mita” Dean Beach of Palm Springs, CA; Brother – Johnny Brown (Tami) of Macon, GA; 4 Grandchildren – Noah Beach (Morgan), Maya Beach, Josh Mercik, and Davy Beach; Step Brother – Alfred Reece; 4 Step Sisters – Elaine Reece (John Williams), Becky Epling (Randy), Laura Reece, and Nita Pullen (Dave); Aunts and Uncles – Mae Mosley (Danny), Beth Hendrix, Ruby Bowen, Minnie Wright, Audrey Wright, Cleve Vickery (Willie Mae), John H. Vickery, and Willis Vickery; Several Cousins including, Elaine Shuttlesworth, Roger Brown and Craig Graham.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Mrs. Minnie Wright, 965 Sweet Home Church Rd., Milan, GA and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 11:00AM – 1:00PM Saturday, April 24.
