CHRISTOPHER KELBY KNIGHT, age 48, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, December 22, 2022, at his residence.

 A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday December 29, 2022 at 2:00PM in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jack Lee officiating.

 Kelby was born December 12, 1974, in Hawkinsville, GA and was of the Baptist faith. He attended Browndale Baptist Church in the Browndale Community of Pulaski County and was a 1992 graduate of Hawkinsville High School. After graduating he enlisted into the United States Marines and served for the next 2 years before returning to Hawkinsville. He worked for many years as a home builder in the area and was a master carpenter. He worked several jobs over the years including machine shop and farming and recently as materials handler for Gilmer Warehouse in Cochran. Kelby enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and star gazing. He loved being outdoors and spending time on the river and camping. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. Kelby was preceded in death by his Mother, Beverly Sinyard, Maternal Grandparents, Geraldine and Marvin Sinyard, Paternal Grandparents, Irene and William A. Knight, and Uncles, Hilton Knight, Billy Knight, and Hugh Knight.

 He is survived by his Father – Bobby G. Knight of Eastman; Sister – Jessica Sinyard of Hawkinsville; Brother – Jeremy Michael of Hawkinsville; Several Nieces and Nephews; Aunts and Uncles – Roger Sinyard (Karen) of Buena Vista, Tim Sinyard (Rhonda) Hawkinsville, Ann Beck, Brenda Parr both of Eastman, and Jimmy Knight of Warner Robins; Great-Aunt – Jo Hargrove of Eastman; Several Cousins including, Freddie Hickman, Stevie Knight, and Ricky Coleman, and Numerous Friends.

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:30PM – 2:00PM before services on Thursday, December 29 and may be contacted at the residence of Bobby G. Knight, 1073 Ben Giddens Rd., Eastman. In addition to flowers the family requests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate.
