CHRISTOPHER LAWTON BURCH, age 60, of Chauncey, GA, died Sunday, May 28, 2023.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, June 24th, at Chauncey City Cemetery, with Rev. Tim Brown officiating.
Chris was born in McRae, GA and was a lifelong Chauncey resident. He graduated from Dodge County High School in 1980, and later went to Ben Hill Irwin Technical College for two years and earned his industrial electrician certificate. Chris could do anything he put his mind to and spent many years as a state licensed electrician, roofing, building, and wiring houses.
Chris was a member of Chauncey Baptist Church. He was a kind, generous, and simple man who had a heart of gold. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and playing corn hole with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his Father, Charles Kytle Burch, Sr.
He is survived by his Daughter – Laura Burch Scott (Kevin) of Marietta; Grandchildren – George Scott, Amelia Scott, and and Andrew Paul Scott; Mother – Laura Ann Harrell Burch of Chauncey; Sister – Jenny Brown (Roger) of Chauncey; 2 Brothers – Charles Burch, Jr. (Jan) and Harrell Burch (Donna Taylor), both of Chauncey; Several Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends at 10:30 on June 24th at Chauncey City Cemetery preceding the service at 11:00 AM.
