MR. CHARLES ROBERT “CHARLIE” MULLIS, age 32, of Columbus, GA, died Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Dodge County.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, March 11, at Southerland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dahl McDermitt officiating.
Mr. Mullis was born in Tucson, AZ and of the Baptist faith. He was a construction worker who specialized in tile flooring. He was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing. Charlie loved his sons and his family, spending time outdoors and time with friends at the river. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Evans, Bill Mullis and Ingeborg Mullis.
Survivors: 2 Sons – Kyler Mullis of Thomaston and Kaden Mullis of Oklahoma City, OK; Mother – Charlene Evans Lowe (Randy) of Thomaston; Father – Robert Lewis Mullis of Columbus; Companion – Angela Trainor of Columbus; Grandmother – Peggy Thompson Evans of Eastman; 1 Brother – Dustin Lewis Mullis of Columbus; 2 Step Sisters – Crystal Mengenhausen (Jeff) of Ulma, MN and Amy Garrison (Tony) of McDonough; Aunts and Uncles – Scott Evans (Sonya), Julie Evans Fowler (Brian) and Debra Mullis Jacobs; Several Great Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Peggy Evans, 324 Golf Course Road, Eastman and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel 30 minutes before services, March 11. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Refuge House for Ladies, 345 Pearl Bates Avenue, Eastman, GA 31023.
