MR. CHARLES NEEDHAM HARRELL, SR., age 81, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, February 19, 2023, at his residence.

 Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in Poplar Springs Baptist Church, with Rev. Royce McClelland and Rev. Myron Parkerson officiating with interment in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Mr. Harrell was born in Eastman, GA and was a dedicated member and a deacon of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Dodge County High School before being drafted into the U.S. Army. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam era and later served in the U.S. Army Reserves for several years. Mr. Harrell was a retired manufacturing employee at Armstrong World Corporation in Macon where he worked for over 30 years. He was a dedicated husband and father and a loving grandfather and great grandfather and a beloved brother and uncle. He enjoyed fishing, working on lawnmowers and cars and enjoyed building things around the family home. He especially enjoyed mullet fishing and spending time with his family. He was the son of the late Walter C. Harrell and Jerry Lee Rogers Harrell and was preceded in death by his Wife of 46 years, Kathleen Widener Harrell, Sister, Addie Lee Burnam, and 3 Brothers, Billy Wayne Harrell, Walter L. Harrell, and Jerry Harrell.

 He is survived by his 2 Sons – Chuck Harrell (Stacey) and David Harrell (Tammie), both of Eastman; 7 Grandchildren – Spencer-Lynn Harrell Gibson (D.J.) of Abbeville, Angel Harrell McMillian (Eric) of McRae, Michael Tillery (Sharon) of McRae, Heather Tillery Smith, Dustin Thomas (Brooke), Amber Thomas, and Cody Thomas (Jessi), all of Eastman; 16 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild on the way; Brother – C.W. Harrell (Peggy) of Eastman; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law – Ray Widener (Dorothy) of Arkansas, Peggy Burke of Cordele, Bennett Widener, Raymond Widener, Larry Widener (Brenda), Jerry Widener (Florence), Gary Widener (Jane), Allan Widener (Burdette), Emily Harrell Woodard (Jerry), Amy Ford Harrell, all of Eastman, and Wright Burnham of Macon; Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

 The family may be contacted at the Harrell residence, 1691 WPA Road, Eastman, GA, 31023, and will receive friends before services in Poplar Springs Baptist Church 1:00PM-2:00PM Tuesday, February 21. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church, 836 Poplar Springs Church Road, Eastman, GA, 31023.
