MR. CHARLES BENJAMIN JACKSON, age 77, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at his residence.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, June 16, at Limestone Baptist Church Cemetery in Cochran, with Rev. James Alexander officiating.

 Charles was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a 1962 graduate of Dodge County High School, a member of Midway Baptist Church, and a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a civil service employee for Robins AFB and retired after 34 years of faithful and diligent service. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, gardening, and music. Charles was an accomplished mandolin player and was a member of the Jackson Family Bluegrass Gospel Group, where he sang and played all over the southeast until his mid to late 30s. He was a dedicated husband and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Charles was the son of the late Mildred Miller Jackson and Benjamin Garland “Ben” Jackson and was preceded in death by a Son, Clinton Charles “Clint” Jackson, Sister, Mary Ruth Jackson Giddens, and a Brother-in-law, Don Giddens.

 He is survived by his Wife of 54 years – Ruthie Jo Holmes Jackson of Eastman; Son – Jeffrey B. Jackson of Eastman; 3 Grandchildren – Emily Finch (Terence), Elizabeth Miolen (Ryan), and Kimberly Smith (Wesley); 6 Great-Grandchildren – Noah Finch, Asa Finch, Ezra Finch, Levi Smith, Lilah Finch, and Ellie Smith; Sister – Faye Giddens (Rex) of Eastman; 3 Brothers-in-law – L.M. Holmes (Marion) of Hawkinsville, Charles Holmes (LaRue) of Eastman, and Jimmy Mullis of Cochran;  Aunt - Wanda Miller of Eastman;  Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Jackson residence, 415 Stewart Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 11:00AM-4:00PM Tuesday, June 15.
