CHADWICK RHETT “CHAD” MULLIS, age 47, of Warner Robins, GA, formerly of Eastman, GA, died Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, February 12, at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, with Mr. Jonathan Mullis officiating.
Chad was born in Eastman, of the Christian Faith, and attended Harvest Church in Warner Robins. He was a 1992 graduate of Dodge County High School, and a graduate of Middle Georgia College and Mercer University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He worked at the Eastman YDC-Juvenile Justice Department as a correctional officer for several years before going to work as a civil service employee in the late 1990s at Robins AFB. He relocated with his job to Salt Lake City, Utah for several years before moving back to Warner Robins in 2020. Chad was a die-hard Alabama Crimson Tide Football fan, an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed baseball, football, weightlifting, and fitness. He enjoyed traveling and visited many places throughout the world. He was the son of the late Patricia Jones Mullis and Walter E. Mullis and was preceded in death by a Sister, Sherry Parkerson.
He is survived by his Sister – Celeste Mullis Doss (Mark) of Eastman; Brother-in-law – Myron Parkerson (Kim) of Eastman; 5 Nephews – Matt Parkerson (Joni), Cody Parkerson (Hannah), Ethan Parkerson, Alex Denham, and Aiden Doss; Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews – Pierce Knight, Johnna Parkerson, Elsie Parkerson, and Brooks Parkerson; Aunts – Polly Owens and Barbara Brady both of Eastman; Canine Companion – Buster.
The family may be contacted at the Doss residence, 64 Amanda Drive, Eastman. Chad will lie-in-state from 11:00AM-3:00PM Thursday, February 11. In addition to flowers the family requests contributions in Chad’s memory to Georgia Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation, 235 Mac Thompson Road, Cochran, GA 31014.
