Obituary for Celia Coleman Jones

MRS. CELIA FAYE COLEMAN JONES, age 88, of Dublin, GA died Monday, June 5, 2023, at her residence.

 Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Plainfield Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joel Dent officiating.

 Mrs. Jones was born in Plainfield, GA, in 1934 and was a 1951 graduate of Chester High School. She majored in Education at Georgia Southern College and received her degree in 1956. Celia was a member at First Baptist Church of Dublin and lived in Dublin for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother who was affectionately known as “Eya”. Celia enjoyed gardening and in earlier years was an avid golfer. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family and was a true-blue member of the Dublin Service League. She was the daughter of the late Willie Belle Peacock Coleman and R. C. “Rep” Coleman, and was preceded in death by her Husband, Ernest F. Jones, Jr. and a Great-Granddaughter, Avery Klaire Dixon.

 She is survived by her 2 Daughters – Beth Duggins (Randy) of Dublin and Lynn Dixon (Jimbo) of Plainfield; 3 Grandchildren – Michael Dixon (Brooke) of Plainfield, Jim Daniel (Mandy) of Dublin, and Kelly Moye (Craig Necci) of Dublin; 6 Great-Grandchildren – Tobin Moye, Kruz Daniel, Madelyn Dixon, Bentley Smith, Payton Heuett, and Bentley Hodges; Caretaker – Emily Sharna Dorris of Eastman; and Special Family Member – Joanne Thompson of Plainfield.
