MRS. MARY CATHERINE ROUNTREE HULETT, age 72, of Rhine, GA, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at her residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, July 17, at Rhine Baptist Church, with Rev. Ricky Gilmore and Mr. Gary Ryals officiating, with interment in Bay Springs Cemetery in Rhine, GA.

 Catherine was born in Macon, GA on November 30, 1952, to the late Ruth Day Gillis. She moved to Rhine, GA during her formative years, where she resided for the rest of her life. She was a member of Rhine Baptist Church, a 1970 graduate of Dodge County High School, and received her clerical diploma from Middle Georgia College in the early 1970s. She married the love of her life soon after graduating from high school and enjoyed a wonderful life together for over 47 years until his passing. She worked for Southern Oil Company in McRae, GA in the early 1970s before working at Roydonwear, Inc. for a few years. In 1976 she began her career as a clerk for the United States Postal Service, where she worked in Rhine and Eastman for over 15 years before retiring in the 1990s. She was co-owner and operator, along with her husband, Tenny, at H & F Kennels at their home in Rhine. They enjoyed many great years together working and raising their family. Catherine was a dedicated wife and a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her dogs and puppies. She was a devout Christian woman who loved her church and her church family dearly and served as WMU director for several years. Along with her mother, Catherine was preceded in death by her Husband of 47 years, Andrew Jackson (A.J.) “Tenny” Hulett, Son, Brian Keith Hulett, and Brother, Johnny Simmons.

 She is survived by her Daughter – Stephanie Hulett Jones (Michael) of Eastman, GA; Grandchildren – Drew Stokes (Courtney) of Vienna, GA, Jake Stokes (Hannah), Cade Jones, Jackson Jones, and Claire Jones, all of Eastman, GA; Great-Grandchildren – Silas Stokes and Ellie Stokes; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law – Gayle Simmons of South Carolina, Gerald Hulett (Shirley) of Bowling Green, KY, and Betty Hulett of Rhine, GA; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Extended Family Members.

 The family may be contacted at the Hulett residence, 5757 Fair Haven Church Rd., Rhine, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 5:00PM-7:00PM Wednesday, July 16.
