MRS. CARMINTA GIDDENS EDGE, age 70, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, November 23, 2020 at her residence.

 Memorial services will be held at a later date.

 Carminta was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a former member of Ocmulgee Baptist Church, an active and dedicated member of Eastman First United Methodist Church, a 1967 graduate of Dodge County High School, and obtained her Paralegal degree. She was a retired bank teller for Bank of Eastman and United First Credit Union for over 20 years, and was a former bookkeeper for Tri County Peanut Company and a paralegal for W. McMillian Walker Law Firm for many years. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, gardening, and working on jigsaw puzzles. Carminta was the daughter of the late Mildred Laurene Giddens and Abner Lewis Giddens, and was preceded in death by her Husband of 48 years, Sammy Harold Edge, Sr. and Sister, Dani Golden.

 She is survived by her Son and Daughter-in-law; Sammy Harold “Sam” Edge, Jr. and Holly Amber Edge of Simpsonville, SC; Grandchildren – Dustin Lamar Croft; Robert Brandon Croft; Katherine Elizabeth “Katie” Edge, Kaylee Anne Edge, Hope Aveline "Ava" Edge; 2 Sisters – Madgalina West (Darrell) of Statesboro and Cindi G. Lundy (Bill) of Milledgeville; Brother – Anthony Laurie Giddens (Jane) of Eastman; Brother-in-law – James Ronald “Ronnie” Edge (Frances) of Chester; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Carminta Cats Fund at Ocmulgee Veterinary Clinic, 43 J Hemphill Industrial Blvd., Eastman, GA 31023, for the purpose of spaying and neutering cats for people on a fixed income.
