MRS. BRENDA ROGERS LOWERY, age 78, of Eastman, GA, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at her residence.
MRS. BRENDA ROGERS LOWERY, age 78, of Eastman, GA, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Friday, June 19, at Freedom Worship Center, 830 Soperton Hwy., Eastman, with Pastor Greg Lowery, Sheila Woods, and Evangelist Brandon Gillis officiating, with interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Brenda was born in Eastman, GA on August 8, 1947, to the late Myrtice Jones Rogers and J.O Rogers. She attended Dodge County High school, and was a member of Soperton Church of God, where she was considered a “prayer warrior”, and worked on the finance committee. After school, Brenda found employment as a hairdresser at Magalene’s. She later worked for B.C. Moore’s, where she spent 10 years before starting at Capital City / Farmers & Merchant Bank, where she worked for over 25 years before retiring. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking for her family. She especially loved to bake cakes and cookies and was affectionately known as “Nanny” to family and friends. Brenda was proceeded in death by her husband, Wallace Lowery, mother and father, Myrtice Rogers and J.O. Rogers, and siblings, Claudine Haddock, Avoline Smith, James “J.W.” Rogers.
She is survived by her Son – Pastor Greg Lowery (Kymberly) of Alamo; Daughters – Sheila Lowery Woods of Soperton and Angie Lowery Kast (Buster) of Warner Robins; Grandchildren – Spencer Willford, Brittany Lowery Rumph (Timothy), Andrew Woods (Licia), Lindsay Willford, Rachel Herrington (Ryan), and Michael Van Osdell; Many Great-Grandchildren; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law – Jimmy Lowery (Starlette) of Perry, Ann Herring (Leonard) and Lee Haddock, both of Eastman; Several Nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family at Freedom Worship Center from 12:00PM-1:00PM Friday, June 19 before the service. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions in Brenda’s memory to Soperton Church of God, 6359 GA-29, Soperton, GA 30457.
