Obituary for Brenda Rogers

MRS. BRENDA SUE JUMP ROGERS, age 77, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in the Dodge County Hospital. 

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 29, in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Chad Hendley and Rev. Daniel Cook officiating, with interment in Cottondale Cemetery.

Brenda was born on August 27, 1949, in Chauncey, GA and was a member of Cottondale Baptist Church and later Hillside Baptist Church. She attended school in Dodge County and married her husband, Billy Ray Rogers, on October 12, 1973. They made their home in Eastman, where they raised their family. She worked as a textile worker for 17 years at C & J Manufacturing and worked at Standard Candy Company for 9 years. Brenda was a dedicated wife and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Dave Franklin Jump and Mary Dykes Jump, son, Daron Rogers, granddaughter, Briana Perdue, stepson, Mark Rogers, and 7 siblings, Barbara Lynn, Linda Campbell, Shirley Edwards, Randall Jump, Ken Jump, Ernie Jump, Davie Jump.

Brenda is survived by her Husband of 53 years – Billy Ray Rogers of Eastman; Daughter – Tracy Rogers Perdue (Brian) of Eastman; Sons – Robbie Rogers of La Vergne, TN and Shane Rogers (Laken) of Eastman; Step-Daughter – Amy McGlothlen(David) of Eastman; Grandchildren – Jacob Rogers (Rachel), Josh Rogers (Allison), Nick Rogers (Holly), Cameron Rogers (Jasmine), Marisa Rogers (Dadrian), Brooke Perdue, Tegan Rogers, Dax Rogers, Sadie Rogers, Mara Rogers, Dylan Rogers, Ashley Stokes (Shawn), Joshua Carroll, and Caleb Carroll; Several Great-Grandchildren; Sister – Geraldine Nichols of Dexter; Brother – Danny Jump of Cadwell; Brother-in-law – Cullen Rogers (Elaine) of Chester; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

The family may be contacted at the residence of Brian and Tracy Perdue, 175 Trent Drive, Eastman, GA, 31023, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-3:00PM September 29.
