MRS. BRENDA ELAINE BURCH BRYANT, age 76, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Savannah Memorial Hospital.

 Memorial services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, January 26, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Lewis Miller and Rev. Chris Dotson officiating.

 Brenda was born in Rhine, GA on April 13, 1948, and was a lifelong resident of Dodge County. Brenda was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church and a graduate of Dodge County High School. She received her associate’s degree in education from Middle Georgia College, her bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University and her master’s degree from Georgia Southwestern. Mrs. Bryant was a retired educator at Dodge Elementary and North Dodge Elementary where she taught 5th grade a career that spanned 31 years. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt who cherished spending time with her family and hosting Sunday lunches. She enjoyed family trips to the mountains and the beach, cooking, gardening, and was an avid reader. She was a dedicated church worker and oversaw the Senior Citizens events at Grace Baptist Church. She also enjoyed hosting church social events in her home. Brenda was the daughter of the late Ola McCranie Burch and Charlie Clifford Burch and was preceded in death by her Brother, Wayne Mathew Burch, Step Brother, Ricky Barnwell, and Niece, Delane Burnham Mullis.

  She is survived by her Husband of 54 years – Charles Bryant of Eastman; 3 Children – Lisa Bryant Knight (Stevie) of Eastman, Chuck Bryant (Jennifer) of Murfreesboro, TN and Nikki Bryant Shuler (T.J.) of Dublin; 7 Grandchildren – Callie Svendsen Lowery (Brandon), Cole Bryant, Cameron Svendsen (Kaitlyn), John Bryant, Jett Bryant, Mattie Shuler, and Brendan Shuler; 2 Great Grandchildren – Raylee Lowery and Carson Svendsen; Sisters – Loucenia Pritchett of Eastman and Joyce Nettles of Helena, AL; Brother – Bobby Burch (Elizabeth) of Eastman; Step Sister – Rhonda Graham Helms of Chester, GA; Step Brother – Randy Barnwell of Gresston; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Bryant residence, 5306 Park Street, Eastman, GA, 31023 and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:30PM-3:00PM Sunday, January 26 before services. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Grace Baptist Church African Missions Fund, 421 Hawkinsville Hwy, Eastman, GA 31023.
