MRS. BETTY JUNE YANCEY PARRISH, age 80, of Rhine, GA, died Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at her residence.

 A private immediate family celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.

 Betty was born in Rhine and moved to Abbeville during her school years, where she attended Wilcox County High School. She attended Fair Haven Baptist Church, was a seamstress for over 25 years for several textile factories, a receptionist at the Medical Center in Fitzgerald for many years, and was an antique proprietor for The Plunder House in Rhine for many years. She enjoyed antiques, flowers, and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful caretaker for her family, a devoted wife to her loving husband, a wonderful mother to her daughter, and possessed a great artistic ability. Betty the daughter of the late Pauline Horton Yancey and William Matthew Yancey and was preceded in death by her Son, Thomas Ellis Parrish, 2 Sisters, Helen Yancey Johnson and her twin sister Billie Yancey Evans, and 2 Brothers, Jack Yancey and Doug Yancey.

 She is survived by her Husband of 47 years – Dewey Allen Parrish of Rhine; Daughter – Kay Young Thornton (Ronnie) of Dudley; Son – Dwain Allen Parrish (Courtney) of Fitzgerald; 5 Grandchildren – Chris Thornton, Tyler Thornton, Kade Parrish, Emily Parrish, and Quinn Parrish; Sister – Sue Yancey Roach of Rhine; Brother – Donald Yancey (Anne) of Dublin; Sister-in-law – Barbara Yancey of Byron; Several Nieces and Nephews.
