MRS. BETTY JEAN SELPH WILLIAMS, age 89, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, April 28, 2023, at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.
MRS. BETTY JEAN SELPH WILLIAMS, age 89, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, April 28, 2023, at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Daniel Cook and Rev. Lewis Miller officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was a lifelong resident of Eastman, a member of Grace Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Dodge County Hospital and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She was a dedicated church worker, and she enjoyed cooking, traveling, and volunteering as a Pink Lady. Betty was the daughter of the late Mollie Lord Selph and Jeff Selph and was preceded in death by her Husband of 62 years, James D. “J.D.” Williams and a Brother, James Selph.
She is survived by her Daughter – Robin Brown (Gary) of Eastman; Son – Randy Williams (Patricia) of Eastman; 4 Grandchildren – Christi Gray (Jared), Dana Stewart (David), Ashley Dykes, and Matt Brown; 8 Great-Grandchildren – Ivy Morgan (Beck), Ryan Brown, Addison Stewart, Bailey Stewart, Haylee Dykes, Ansley Brown, Caydin Stewart, and Brenna Dykes; Great-Great-Granddaughter – Ember Morgan; Several Nieces and Nephews.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Randy and Patricia Williams, 403 Dublin Hwy., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM – 3:00PM Sunday, April 30. In addition to flowers the family request contributions to Grace Baptist Church, 511 Hawkinsville, Hwy., Eastman, GA 31023, or Gideons International Bible Fund.
