MRS. BERTA MAE BELFLOWER WRIGHT, age 96, of Hawkinsville, GA, died Thursday, January 23, 2020, at Summerhill Assisted Living in Perry.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, January 25, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Tommy Dawson and Rev. Don McClung officiating, with interment in Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville.

 Berta Mae was born in Roddy, GA and had lived in Hawkinsville since 1955. She was a 1941 graduate of Chester High School, a faithful member of Hawkinsville First Baptist Church, a retired insurance clerk for over 20 years at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, and a former employee of L & H Shirt Company of Cochran and Doctor Jack Butler’s office of Unadilla. She was daughter of the late Lola Waller Belflower and Matthew Arnold Belflower, widow of Eschol Franklin Wright, and was preceded in death by 6 Siblings, Trudie B. Fountain, Jewel B. Young, Alton Belflower, Linton Bellflower, Bill Belflower, and Levi Belflower.

 Survivors: Son – Matthew Franklin Wright (Greta) of Perry; Granddaughter – Kellyn Wright Shollenberger (Griffin) of Seminole, FL; Great-Granddaughter – Ava Grace Shollenberger; Sister – Pearl B. Southerland of Eastman; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Wright residence, 115 Surrey Place, Perry, and will receive friends in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 5:30PM-7:00PM Friday, January 24. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to First Baptist Church of Hawkinsville, P.O. Box 210, Hawkinsville, GA 31036 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
