MRS. REBECCA LOUISE “BECKY” HARP PRITCHETT, age 78, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Navicent Medical Center of Macon, GA.
MRS. REBECCA LOUISE “BECKY” HARP PRITCHETT, age 78, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Navicent Medical Center of Macon, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, December 23, in Eastman First Baptist Church, with Rev. Todd Crosby and Rev. Mike Grenade officiating with interment in Orphans Cemetery.
Becky was born in Metter, GA on September 3, 1947, to the late Jackie Gordy Harp and James E. “Jim” Harp. She was a 1965 graduate of Dodge County High School where she excelled at basketball. After graduating she joined the All-American Redheads Basketball Team, a lady’s professional team that traveled the USA playing exhibition against other top tier teams including men’s teams. In 2011, she, along with other Redhead team members were inducted into the Ladies Basketball Hall of Fame, and in 2012, they were inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Becky was a retired registered nurse, who worked a career at both Taylor Regional Hospital and Dodge County Hospital helping many through the years as an ER nurse. She loved her job, the people she was fortunate to work with and the many lives she was able to care for over the years. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. Becky loved her garden and her flowers, and she spent countless hours outdoors tending to her special place at home. Becky enjoyed spending time with her husband and family and caring for them and she was a friend to many. She was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church, where she enjoyed being a part of the Esther Sunday School Class. She was a volunteer for many years at The Christian Life Center in Eastman. In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ted Stuckey, sister-in-law, Martha Ann “Mott” Pritchett, and great nephew, Morgan Sheffield.
She is survived by her Husband – Raymond L. “Ray” Pritchett of Eastman; Sons – Stephen Pritchett of Hawkinsville and Jim Pritchett of Eastman; Grandchildren – Madison Pritchett Bacon (Damian), Lana Kay Pritchett, and Mia Ray Pritchett; Great-Granddaughter – Blakely Raye Bacon; Sister – Connie Seacrist (Billy) of Eastman; Brother – Terry Harp (Cecilia) of Eastman; Brother-in-law – Roy Pritchett of Cochran; Nieces and Nephews – Billy Harp, Terry Harp, Jr, Jim Harp, II, April Moore (Kelly), Ginger McCranie (Keith), Sandy Bland (Jeremy), and Jason Pritchett; Several Great-Nieces and Nephews.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Ray Pritchett, 933 Rocky Springs Rd, Eastman, GA 31023, and will receive friends in Eastman First Baptist Church from 12:30PM-2:00PM before services on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. In addition to flowers the family requests contributions to The Christian Life Center, 307 King Street, Eastman, GA 31023.
