JUSTIN BART JONES, age 44, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

 A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, April 19, at Southerland Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Grenade and Rev. Todd Crosby officiating. Bart will be laid to rest at Orphans Cemetery, with a private family committal service to be held at a later date.

 Bart was born in Dublin, GA on June 5, 1981. He was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church, a 2000 honor graduate of Dodge County High School, and attended Middle Georgia College.

He lived in Atlanta for several years, where he worked for a moving company, before relocating back to Eastman in the late 2000s, to be closer to his family. He worked as a construction worker for several companies, including Graham & Studstill Construction, and R & D Concrete, where he enjoyed his time working alongside his close friend Daniel Williams. Bart enjoyed finding arrowheads, hunting, especially for rabbits and deer, and he loved animals, particularly dogs, including his canine companion Caesar.

Bart was a beloved son, brother, and uncle, who was a supremely talented and unique individual who will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Rubena Graham Jones and Jack N. Jones, Maternal Grandparents, Vernell King Whiggum and Monroe Whiggum, and his Aunts and Uncles, James H. and Lynette Jones, David Whiggum, Billy Steele, Farris and Linda Lowery, and Tommy Whiggum.

 He is survived by his Father and Mother – John W. “Johnny” Jones and Patricia Whiggum Jones, both of Eastman; Brother – Chan Jones of Cochran; Nieces – Marli Blayr Jones and Henli Clayr Jones, both of Cochran; Aunts and Uncles – Winnie Ruth Searcy (Ken), Cindy Hardy (Randy), Nancy Steele, Byron Whiggum (Bonnie), and Angie Whiggum; numerous cousins and friends.

 The family may be contacted at the Jones residence, 1309 Antioch Church Rd., Eastman, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM Sunday, April 19.

 In addition to flowers, the family requests contributions to Faithful Hearts Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 5014, Eastman, GA 31023, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, or Gideons International Bible Fund, in honor of Bart.
