MR. BARRY JONES, age 65, of Eastman, GA, died Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at his residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, August 20, in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwaine Dunn officiating with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Barry was born in Eastman, GA on August 12, 1961, and was of the Christian faith. He was a lifelong resident of Eastman and a 1980 graduate of Dodge County High School. He studied Business Administration at Middle Georgia College and continued his education at Georgia Southwestern College and Mercer University. In 1983 he became co-owner and operator of Eastman Video which he operated as a successful business for over 16 years. During that time Barry and his family served the Eastman community’s video and gift shop needs. In the late 1980s he took classes at Heart of Georgia Technical College in Dublin and earned a degree in electronics which began a civil service career at Robins Air Force Base where he worked until retiring in 2011. Barry was very close to his siblings, and he was the youngest of three. He enjoyed watching television, especially thrillers and comedies. His hobbies included collecting caps and baseball cards, and he was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and collector. He also enjoyed spending time at home with his sister Linda and for many years he enjoyed playing golf with his cousins Kenny and Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Pinnell Jones and William Bernard “Mose” Jones, Sr. and his brother, William Bernard “Bill” Jones, Jr.

 Barry is survived by his Sister – Linda C. Jones of Eastman and numerous cousins and many friends.

 The family may be contacted at the Jones residence, 6070 5th Avenue, Eastman, and will receive friends at Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 1:00PM-2:00PM Thursday, August 20, one hour before services.
