MRS. BARBARA ANN MYERS WALTERS, age 66, of Eastman, GA, died Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, February 8, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Fred Parker officiating, with interment in Antioch #1 Baptist Church Cemetery.

Barbara was a native of Bleckley County, a member of Antioch #1 Baptist Church, and a 38 year retired employee of Lithonia Lighting. She was very active in church activities and the Joy Ministry group at Antioch #1 and she enjoyed spoiling her dog “Izzy”, camping with her husband and their friends, fishing, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was daughter of the late Bertie Mae Ussery Myers and S.C. Myers and was preceded in death by a Brother, Chris Myers.

Survivors: Husband of 40 years – Thomas E. “Pee Wee” Walters of Eastman; 5 Daughters – Michelle Hendrix (Terry) of Cochran, Amy Darden (Stephen), Jennye Harris both of Kathleen, Lee Dunaway (Scotty) of Hawkinsville, and Tiffany Sheffield (Cody) of Eastman; Son – Thomas Walters, Jr. of Warner Robins; 13 Grandchildren – Jacob Hendrix (Morgane), Jonathan Hendrix, Kenzie Smart (Jeremy), Logan Grier, Chase Darden, Logan Darden, Tyler Catoe, Madi Harris, Ashly Posey (Chris), Melissa Smith, Madi Dunaway, Tucker Sheffield, and Ty Sheffield; 4 Great-Grandchildren – Jax Chaltry, Kennedy Chaltry, Elijah Posey, and Brody Knight; Sister – Rebecca Sparks (Rob) of Minnesota; Brothers– Stuart Myers of Cochran; Several Nieces and Nephews.

The family may be contacted at the residence of Tiffany and Cody Sheffield, 2654 Rozar Goolsby Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Friday, February 8. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Antioch #1 Baptist Church Building Fund, 3233 Antioch Church Rd., Eastman, GA 31023.
