MRS. AUDREY LYNN STRICKLAND HELMS, age 57, of Milan, GA, died Saturday, June 8, 2019 at her residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, June 11, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Mr. Bobby Ryals, Rev. Kenny White, Dr. Al Daniell, and Rev. Billy Baker officiating, with interment in Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Audrey was born in McRae, a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She was a former sales clerk at 7 Day Pantry, a former cashier and deli employee at Butcher Block, provided in home child care for many years, and was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and Nana to her grandchildren and her daycare children. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Audrey was daughter of the late Jean Bohannon Strickland and Bob Strickland and was preceded in death by several grandparents including her Maternal Grandmother, Vinnie Bohannon.

 Survivors: Husband of 33 years – David Helms of Milan; 2 Daughters – April Hayes Villa (Jose) of Milan and Darla Helms Ashley (Bryan) of Helena; Son – Brian Hayes (Catherine) of McRae; 5 Grandchildren – Brogen Hayes Redd, Amberlyn Moore, Mylee Moore, Anslee Ashley, and Easton Ashley; Sister – Bobbie S. Lupin (Jack) of Eastman; 2 Brothers – Tony Strickland (Kerri) of Abbeville and Clark Strickland of Milan; Sisters-in-Law and Brothers-in-Law – Darlene Hardy (Danny), Donald Helms (Katherine), Charlene Brannan (Ricky), and Amy Helms; Special Friends – Marie Wiggins and Bobby Jean Mincey; Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

 The family may be contacted at the Helms residence, 865 Sweet Home Church Rd., Milan, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Monday, June 10. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to Sweet Home Baptist Church, P.O. Box 65, Chauncey, GA 31011.
