AT3 JAKE ROBERT JONES, age 23, of Norfolk, VA, formerly of Eastman, GA, died Friday, February 23, 2024, in Norfolk, VA.

 A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, March 2, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with LT. Richard Senter officiating.

 Jake was born and raised in Eastman, GA, of the Baptist Faith, and a 2019 graduate of Dodge County High School, where he was on the wrestling team during his senior year. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and completed his basic training in Illinois. He was later stationed in Norfolk, VA at Naval Station Norfolk and achieved the rank of AT3, aviation electronics technician 3rd class. Jake was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, and cousin. He enjoyed traveling, working out, was very competitive with his brother and friends, and never shied away from a challenge. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and the ones he met during his four years of service to our country. He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Robert Palmer and Paternal Grandmother, Morag Mackay Jones.

 He is survived by his Mother – Elicia Palmer Jones of Cochran, GA; Father – Jason Jones (Lynn) of Macon, GA; Sister – Paisley Jones of Gray, GA; Brothers – Jase Jones and Randy Howell, both of Cochran, GA; Maternal Grandparents – Linda Barlow Nelson and Ronnie Giddens of Cochran, GA; Paternal Grandfather – Joe Jones of Chauncey, GA; Aunts and Uncles – Shannon and Mike Fowler of Monticello, GA, Beth and Randy Peacock of Byron, GA, Connie and Paul Hayes of Warner Robins, GA, Elizabeth Jones Broomer of Eastman, GA, David and Jenny Jones of Gray, GA; Several Great-Aunts and Uncles; Numerous Cousins and Friends.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Elicia Jones, 114 Tom Porter Rd., Cochran, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Saturday, March 2.
