A private family graveside service will be held on Monday July 28, 2025, in Bay Springs Cemetery in the Plainfield community of Dodge County, with Rev. Myron Parkerson officiating.
Annette was born August 10, 1938, in Eastman, GA, and was of the Christian Faith. After attending high school in Dodge County, she married on July 21, 1954, and enjoyed 67 happy years with her husband J.W. Rogers. She was a mother to four children and a homemaker to her family. She loved her family dearly, and her hobbies were tending her flowers, cooking, traveling, and riding the motorcycle with J.W. They enjoyed camping on trips to Tennessee, word search puzzles, and loved western programs on TV. She enjoyed accompanying her husband to gospel sings and watching him play music with his friends. Mrs. Rogers attended Church services for many years at Freedom Worship Center in Eastman. She was affectionately known as “Granny” to her grandchildren and loved them very much. She will be dearly missed. Annette was the daughter of Mamie Livingston Bowen and Eschol Bowen and was preceded in death by her husband, James William “J.W.” Rogers, a brother, Lester Halbert “Buddy” Bowen, sister-in-law, Avoline Rogers Smith, and 2 brothers-in-law, Gene Smith and Wallace Lowery.
She is survived by her Daughter – Debbie Davis (Keith) of Dublin, GA; 3 Sons – David Rogers (Brenda) of Eastman, Randy Rogers (Cindy) of Hawkinsville, GA, and Kevin Rogers (Kevin) of Eastman, GA; 6 Grandchildren – Haley Lawhorn (Mitch), Lacey Smith (Micah), Scott Rogers (Courtney), Cameron Rogers (Anna), Amelia Wilder (Zach), and M’Lynn Muniz (Juan); 11 Great Grandchildren – Madelyn Rogers, Anna Rogers, Maddox Evans, Rayna Evans, Michaela Mullis (Tyler), Shelby Williams, Hunter Williams, Luke Grimes, Landon Grimes, Julie Rogers, Ryder Rogers, and Charlei Rogers; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren – Wrenley Mullis and Waylon Mullis; Sisters-In-Law – Ann Bowen of Warner Robins, GA, and Brenda Lowery of Soperton, GA and Claudine Haddock (Lee) of Eastman, GA; Numerous nieces and nephews.
