Angela Denise Holt Newton, 58, of Kathleen, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026. She was born on June 19, 1968, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, to Jack Elmer Holt, Sr. and Linda (Mullis) Holt.
Angela Denise Holt Newton, 58, of Kathleen, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026. She was born on June 19, 1968, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, to Jack Elmer Holt, Sr. and Linda (Mullis) Holt.
Angela was a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology. She was a dedicated and hardworking professional with an exceptional work ethic. At the time of her passing, she was employed with Ricoh as a Senior Accounting Manager, a position in which she took great pride.
Angela found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time at the beach and traveling and had a special appreciation for a good rainstorm. She loved watching “Survivor” and would follow every season when it aired. But more than anything, Angela cherished her family. Her family was the center of her world, and she loved them deeply. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved and leaves behind a legacy of devotion, strength, and love that will continue through the generations.
Angela was preceded in death by her father, Jack Elmer Holt, Sr.; her sister, Lana Joy Holt; her maternal grandparents, Jeter and Mary Grace Mullis; and her paternal grandparents, Lewis and Evelyn Holt.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Michael “Lance” Newton; her sons, Sean Brett Conley and Brian Kent Conley; her granddaughter, Tessa Rae Conley; her mother, Linda Holt; her brothers, Jack Elmer Holt, Jr. and Thomas David Holt; her niece, Hannah Leigh Holt; her nephew, Brandon Thomas Muncher; her great-nephew, Levi Jay Muncher; her aunt, Valerie White; and her cousins, Michelle Kilgore and Kimberly Gutierrez. She will also be lovingly remembered by countless family members and friends whose lives were touched by her.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
A service celebrating Angela’s life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Reverend Emory Howell will officiate.
Interment will be private at Parkway Memorial Gardens.
Angela’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her greatest legacy is the love she gave so freely to her family, and the countless memories she leaves behind.
